As always and as expected Axis Communications delivered on their promise of continuing to push the envelope and lead from the front by announcing various new technologies, acquisitions and many improvements to their existing product range, all of which enables integrators such as ourselves to continue offering best of breed, future-proofed solutions to our valued clients.

We are excited to announce that whilst attending the Partners Summit Focus Digital Security were presented with the New Zealand Partner of the Year award for the third consecutive year! We were also awarded in 2015 as the Oceania Solution Partner of the Year. Being presented with this award once again is an honor in itself and testament to our strong partnership with Axis Communications,

Focus Digital Security have now been an Axis Communications Gold Partner for over 5 years; this partnership places us in the top 2% of their world-wide partners and ensures that we continue to receive unparalleled support and training for our valued team.

Beyond manufacturing electronic security excellence and being market leaders in innovation, there are many wider reasons as to why we choose to partner with Axis Communications. Focus Digital Security are strong advocates of eco-sustainability, anti-bribery and employee equal rights – values that align with Axis’ philosophy; the following excerpts are taken directly from the Axis Communications website and provide a brief insight into why we value our partnership so greatly:

Axis’ overall objective is to take sustainability into consideration in all business processes throughout the entire value chain. Axis is taking long-term responsibility by thinking big in the areas of business conduct and social and environmental responsibility. Axis strives to minimize its environmental impact, promote a healthy working environment, fight corruption, and prevent human rights breaches.

Axis has zero tolerance for all forms of corruption and has initiated an extensive program in order to fight corruption, bribery and conflicts of interest. In 2007, Axis signed the UN’s Global Compact, and follows its ten principles regarding human rights, anti-corruption, the environment and labour.

Since transparency and diversity are important and natural parts of Axis’ corporate culture, women and men have the same opportunities to excel in the company, regardless of background.

We at Focus Digital Security look forward to further developing our relationship with Axis Communications and are excited to see what new technology and innovations lie ahead.

Stuart Gregory

Managing Director

Focus Digital Security Solutions Ltd

Focus Digital Security - Giving Back to the Community - Edmund Hillary School

On site at Edmund Hillary School with Focus Digital Security Technicians Antone, Roberto and StevenIn 2014 the Directors of Focus Digital Security decided that funds usually reserved for Corporate Events and Gifts would be better spent on Community based security projects. This time last year we approached Koru School in South Auckland, following a tip-off that the school was suffering from graffiti and anti-social behavior but lacked the funding required to have an adequate CCTV system

On site at Edmund Hillary School with Focus Digital Security Technicians Antone, Roberto and Steven

In 2014 the Directors of Focus Digital Security decided that funds usually reserved for Corporate Events and Gifts would be better spent on Community based security projects.

This time last year we approached Koru School in South Auckland, following a tip-off that the school was suffering from graffiti and anti-social behavior but lacked the funding required to have an adequate CCTV system installed. Meanwhile, we at Focus Digital Security had the technical resource and capability available and were so compelled by our visit to the school that it was agreed that all labour, cable and miscellaneous fittings would be donated by the company, with technicians donating their time towards the cause.

Working in partnership with Axis Communications and Channel 10 Security Imports, Focus Digital Security sourced free of charge a full 16 Camera Axis Communications Network Video Recording System complete with premium Milestone Video Management Software; the end result was a modern, turn-key CCTV solution installed at no cost to the school.

Feedback from Koru School on the installation was so positive and encouraging that Directors agreed to repeat the “CCTV in Schools” project for Christmas 2016.

This year the Directors identified Edmund Hillary School in Papakura as the recipient of a full 8 Camera Axis Communications Network Video Recording System complete with premium Milestone Video Management Software. The School has suffered from numerous burglaries, theft from teacher’s vehicles, vandalism and graffiti. The principal was particularly concerned about the impact such negative behavior was having on the children and in particular the trauma caused when items were stolen from the children's classrooms.

Installation commenced in early December and works are on track to be completed prior to the School closing for the holiday break, we hope that our efforts will afford the students and teachers some peace of mind that the school will be protected whilst they are all off enjoying their well deserved holiday period.

Merry Christmas from all of the team at Focus Digital Security.

Stuart Gregory, Director

Focus Digital Security

www.focusdigital.co.nz

Focus Digital Security - Official PROTECT Fog Cannon fog machine Nationwide Reseller

We are proud to announce that Focus Digital Security are officially trained and certified in the supply and installation of FogCannon NZ Ltd's fantastic range of PROTECT Fog Cannons.Focus Digital Security currently provide nationwide electronic security services to many of New Zealand's leading retail and commercial businesses and as such we are well positioned to provide you with industry-leading design, installation, commissioning and training on New Zealand's best range of Fog Cannons. With

We are proud to announce that Focus Digital Security are officially trained and certified in the supply and installation of FogCannon NZ Ltd's fantastic range of PROTECT Fog Cannons.

Focus Digital Security currently provide nationwide electronic security services to many of New Zealand's leading retail and commercial businesses and as such we are well positioned to provide you with industry-leading design, installation, commissioning and training on New Zealand's best range of Fog Cannons.

With tobacco-related products fast becoming the new currency among the criminal fraternity many businesses are recognising the real threat that this poses to the safety of their employees. As a result they are choosing to install Fog Cannons as a method of deterring would-be offenders from targeting their stores. In the event that the offenders do target their store, the Fog Cannon can be easily activated and within seconds the entire target area is blanketed in a thick white synthetic fog, making it near impossible for the offender to see, let alone steal any product. The effectiveness of Fog Cannons in New Zealand has been well documented in recent months with the resulting effect being offenders fleeing the scene empty-handed.

The dense white fog is harmless to humans, animals, electronics and fixtures and does not leave a residue or smell; replacement fluid is cost effective and simple to refill.

To learn more about how Focus Digital Security can add an extra layer of security to your business please contact us on 0508 0 FOCUS or info@focusdigital.co.nz

Stuart Gregory, Director

Focus Digital Security

Focus Digital Security Awarded Electronic Security - Farmers Silverdale Complex

We are very proud to announce that we have been successfully awarded the Electronic Security component of the up-coming Farmers Complex in Silverdale, Auckland.
