As part of your induction, please complete all employee information sheets, tax forms, and Health & Safety modules.

These steps are essential to set up your employment details, ensure accurate payroll, and confirm that you understand our safety standards and procedures. The Health & Safety modules must be completed before you begin work on any site or project.

If you’re unsure about any section or have questions, please speak with your manager — they’re here to help.

Employee Information

We collect employee details at the start of employment to ensure we can manage your onboarding, payroll, and workplace safety effectively.

Your personal information allows us to:

  • Set up payroll and tax records so you’re paid correctly and meet legal requirements.

  • Maintain accurate contact details in case we need to reach you for work-related or emergency reasons.

  • Meet legal and compliance obligations, including employment verification and record-keeping.

  • Support health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring we can provide appropriate assistance or emergency care if needed.

All information is handled in line with privacy laws and company policy to protect your personal data.

KiwiSaver

KiwiSaver is a voluntary, work-based retirement savings scheme. Independent KiwiSaver providers run the savings schemes. You can choose one of them to manage your savings.

KiwiSaver is for all New Zealand citizens and permanent residents living or normally living in New Zealand. Members can still get New Zealand Superannuation when they reach 65.

You are automatically enrolled into KiwiSaver if you are:

  • eligible to be enrolled

  • starting work with a new employer

  • aged between 18 and 65.

If you are eligible for KiwiSaver but not yet a KiwiSaver member you can enrol by:

  • Select the link below to view a KiwiSaver employee information pack (KS3)

  • Complete a KiwiSaver deduction form (KS2)

  • choosing a provider and signing directly with them. 

If you’re already employed but not a KiwiSaver member you can join either through your employer or through a KiwiSaver provider. Once you’ve joined, you will not be able to opt out.

If you’ve been automatically enrolled but do not want to be a KiwiSaver member, you can opt out.

You cannot opt out in the first 13 days. You can opt out between the end of week 2 and week 8 of starting work. That is, on or after day 14, and on or before day 56.

If you would like to opt out you will need to complete the KS10 form by selecting the link below. 

Tax Code Declaration

Your tax code tells your employer or payer how much tax to deduct from your pay, benefit or pension. There are several tax codes and it's important to choose the one that's right for you so you avoid a bill at the end of the tax year 31 March. 

Open and complete the IR330 form, if you are unsure of the correct code to use there are notes and flow charts on pages 2 & 3 to help you work out your tax code.

At Focus Digital Security Solutions, the health, safety, and wellbeing of every employee, contractor, and visitor is our top priority. We believe that a safe workplace is the foundation of a successful and productive team. Our goal is to ensure that everyone goes home healthy and unharmed at the end of each day.

We are committed to maintaining a proactive safety culture where hazards are identified, risks are managed, and everyone takes responsibility for their own safety and the safety of those around them. This includes following all health and safety procedures, reporting incidents or near misses, and continuously improving our practices through training, communication, and collaboration.

As part of your introduction to our health & safety systems please work through our key policies with your inducting manager and complete Appendix 9 below which also contains information on our company operational policies.
